CBS casts Ashley Tisdale for upcoming 'You’re Only Young Twice' comedy series

Ashley Tisdale gears up for new role

CBS is moving forward with You’re Only Young Twice, a multi-camera comedy led by Ashley Tisdale, who brings her talents both onscreen and behind the scenes as executive producer.

The project, from writer Tommy Johnagin, follows Emily (Ashley) and Alex, former high school sweethearts and teen parents, now navigating adulthood at 35 as their child embarks on college life.

Now free to start fresh, the newly divorced empty-nesters navigate dating, co-parenting and the possibility of finding love a second time.

Tommy and the High School Musical alum join forces with Mandy Summers (That 90s Show, The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh, A Different World reboot) as executive producers.

Ashley, 40, has been in the acting industry for years, having previously worked in Disney productions like the fan favourite High School Musical franchise, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, and Phineas and Ferb.

Other than Disney, she has also starred in Scary Movie, Scary Movie 5, Picture This, and more.
