Sam Fender and Olivia Dean received the first award of the 2026 BRIT Awards for their chart-topping song Rein Me In.
On Saturday, February 28, the ceremony served the first award of the Song of the Year to the British music stars, Fender and Dean, for the song from Fender’s third studio album, People Watching.
“I think this is a beautiful song and it's been a pleasure to be a part of it,” Dean said as she accepted the award alongside Fender.
Fender, a four-time BRIT Award winner, has cemented his place among Britain’s leading rock voices, earning critical acclaim and commercial success across multiple chart-topping releases and arena-filling performances.
Meanwhile, Dean beat herself in the category as her song, Man I Need, was also nominated for a similar category.
However, Dean is looking forward to many of the awards for her tonight as she is already leading the nominations at the BRITs, with five nods each. Besides her, only Lola Young has received five nods.
Before this, Dean took home Grammys on February 1 in high-profile categories, including best new artist and best pop solo vocal performance, respectively.
Later this night, Dean also performed her chart-topping single Man I Need in a charming, flirty, and beautiful voice.
