Punch The Monkey, who went viral after he was left alone in this world to survive because his mother abandoned him, recently learned how to provide himself with shelter amid rain.

Living in a Japanese zoo, the clip of the baby Monkey received sympathy and love from netizens after he was seen getting pushed away and finding his new mum in a orange Monday toy.

Now, in a new clip, uploaded by the Ichikawa City Zoological and Botanical Garden zoo’s page, the little one spent the night in rain as he learned to give himself shelter by looking at others.

As the little one learns to adapt, the authorities also published a statement, addressing the concerns of the viewers and of visitors about the health of its Japanese macaques and the environment they live in.

The note on X read, “A lot of visitors are currently coming to the zoo to see baby monkey, Punch,”

It further stated that the veterinarians have confirmed that the monkeys' food intake and weight are appropriate and that "no clear sickness is evident."

The concern of hair loss was raised after the live audience noticed the animals shedding hair, which caused them to look sick.

The statement concluded that the staff believes the hair loss is primarily caused by excessive grooming, which is something these four-legged animals do when cold months are approaching.

Notably, the animal garden has also confessed that “animal welfare is the top priority.”
