Simon Cowell has reportedly been handed an unusual ban by Britain’s Got Talent producers after chewing gum was discovered stuck under his desk.
According to a recent report by The Sun, the 66-year-old English TV personality was placed under a chewing gum ban after producers on the ITV reality show found gum stuck beneath the judges’ table following audition tapings.
"Simon is always chewing gum on set and has left producers with a real headache. They tried to implement the gum ban, but telling Simon 'No' is a task in itself," an insider told the outlet.
The music mogul reportedly found himself in an awkward situation after a piece of chewing gum became stuck to his black trousers during filming.
The source added, "He didn't have a clue he had gum stuck to his trousers as he walked out on stage in front of thousands of fans."
Confirming his chewing habit, Cowell previously admitted to the same publication that one of his most "annoying" habits is chewing special £5 CB12 gum to help combat bad breath.
"I chew gum really loudly and it drives everyone mad," he revealed at the time.
