Daniel Radcliffe talks about his journey to fitness after quitting smoking
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has recently revealed what made him change his toxic lifestyle.
The English actor admits that he used to “run on coffee and cigarettes all day” but now he focuses his energy on staying fit and working out regularly instead of smoking.
Daniel opens up that he might not look like someone who would be “a fitness freak” but he is pretty intense about his fitness routine that includes cardio, circuit training as well as weights.
Speaking to Wall Street Journal Magazine, the Now You See Me 2 actor says, “I feel like I’m a cliché of a former alcoholic or anyone who had any kind of addictive personality and then switched that addiction to being about the gym.”
Reflecting on his sobriety journey, Daniel mentioned that first he used to run on “coffee and cigarettes” but now it’s only “coffee all day”.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins actor points out that he is an early riser due to his two-year-old son, whom he shares with his girlfriend Erin Darke.
“I have a small child, so my body has trained to wake up at about 5:30,” adds Daniel.
