Holi was meant to bring colour and noise for the team of Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Instead, it brought a sudden pause.

The trailer of Ranveer Singh's action drama was reportedly set to drop on March 3, 2026. 

Fans were expecting a big reveal. But the launch was quietly pushed back. The reason, according to reports, is a Chandra Grahan.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, "Reports of Dhurandhar: The Revenge’s trailer release on March 3 weren’t mere rumours. The makers genuinely planned to unveil it that day. 

But they were later informed that March 3 witnesses a Chandra Grahan (lunar eclipse), which is considered inauspicious for new beginnings. The inauspicious period is said to be from 9:39 am to 6:46 pm. Trailers are usually launched around noon, and this timing falls within the window. Hence, the team decided to postpone the trailer release.”

The eclipse reportedly began at 3:20 pm and ended at 6:47 pm. With most trailers dropping around noon, the team chose not to take chances.

There were earlier plans for a grand event in Mumbai on March 5. That too changed.

The makers are now said to be opting for a simple digital release, possibly on March 5 or 6. The exact date is still not confirmed.

The spy thriller stars Ranveer Singh alongside Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. The first film followed an Indian spy who entered Pakistan’s criminal and political system and created chaos.

The sequel releases on March 19 and will clash with Toxic, starring Yash.
