Rajpal Yadav emphasized his passion for cinema while reflecting on Sonu Sood’s timely support

Rajpal Yadav has broken his silence after Sonu Sood publicly appealed for filmmakers to offer him projects while he was in jail.

The 54-year-old acclaimed actor made headlines after going to Tihar Jail because of a Rs 9 crore cheque issue related to his 2010 film Ata Pata Laapata.

In an interview with SCREEN, he said, "Please get over the misconception that I need to keep asking for work. And there is no shame in asking for work."

Additionally, he told the outlet, "I live through my job; cinema is my passion, and I work in such a way that I get four times more work. I work even on vacations. Work doesn’t find me; it has lived with me for the last 11 years."

For those unaware, the comedian surrendered after directions from the Delhi High Court in multiple cheque bounce cases and was later granted bail.

Despite the controversy, Rajpal has a busy lineup ahead. He will be seen in Bhoot Bangla, followed by Welcome To The Jungle, which features a massive ensemble cast, and Haiwaan. He also has two web series in the pipeline.
