Bruce Campbell has been diagnosed with cancer
American actor Bruce Campbell has been diagnosed with cancer, as he revealed on March 2.
The actor, who is best known for his role as Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead horror series, revealed he has been diagnosed with an “incurable” form of cancer.
The 67-year-old did not state the type of cancer he is dealing with but said it is “treatable”.
He shared a statement on X writing “Hi folks, these days, when someone is having a health issue, it’s referred to as an ‘opportunity,’ so let’s go with that.”
“I’m having one of those. It’s also called a type of cancer that’s ‘treatable’ not ‘curable.’ I apologize if that’s a shock – it was to me too”, he added.
Bruce said he will not share further details but had to share this news for professional reasons as “a few things will have to change”.
“There are several cons this year summer that I have to cancel. Big regrets on my part.”
His upcoming movie Ernie & Emma will be released later this year.
