Luke Thompson reveals surprising meeting with Queen Elizabeth
The actor is currently promoting ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4
British actor Luke Thompson has revealed his never-heard-before meeting with the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The actor, who stars as Benedict Bridgerton on the hit show Bridgerton, revealed the incident while making an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The host, Jimmy asked him about the time he had the opportunity to perform for the Queen, who passed away in 2022.
Luke replied “I did get to perform once in front of the Queen.”
The actor recalled the event that was held at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, a prestigious London-based school Luke studied at.
The 39-year-old said the students at the academy got the opportunity to do monologues in different rooms.
The British monarch would then stop at one of the rooms and whoever she stopped in front of got to do their monologue.
“It was like a weird sort of game show. And she stopped in front of me.”
The In The Club star went on to add that while the Queen did not enjoy much because she was not a theatre fan, he enjoyed it thoroughly.
