Netflix announces ‘Squid Game: The VIP challenge’ cast
Netflix is expanding its Squid Game universe once again.
This time, the stream is handing the spotlight to celebrities in a new reality spin-off titled Squid Game: The VIP Challenge.
The streaming giant confirmed that eight well-known personalities will enter the high-stakes competition, promising a battle of strategy, wit, and skill.
Details about the format remain under wraps, but Netflix teased an intense showdown among the star-studded line-up.
Among those taking part are Dylan Efron of The Traitors, Hannah Godwin from The Bachelor, Kim Zolciak of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, content creator Kristy Sarah, Spice Girls singer Mel B, Ryan Serhant from Owning Manhattan, NBA champion Tristan Thompson, and Viper, who previously won the fan vote on Squid Game: The Challenge.
The original reality adaptation, Squid Game: The Challenge, debuted in November 2023 following the runaway success of the Korean drama Squid Game.
The first season saw 456 contestants compete for a $4.56 million prize, with a second instalment arriving in 2025 and a third already commissioned.
In a statement, Viper hinted at disruption upon his return, saying he intends to cause “total chaos” while approaching every decision with meticulous care.
Further details, including a premiere date, have yet to be announced.
