This year’s Eid release window was expected to bring a lot of excitement, as film buffs were eagerly waiting to witness the clash of two big movies. One is Dhurandhar: The Revenge and the other is Yash starrer Toxic: The Fairy Tale.

However, a recent development has caused a little disappointment for them.

Yesterday, the trailer release of Ranveer Singh's starrer was postponed at the last moment, and today the release date of the 40-year-old's film has also been changed. 

Both films were set to hit the theatres on March 19, but now people will have to wait three more months to see the KGF star’s magic on the cinema screen.

The KVN Productions, in a statement shared on X, stated that the reason for delaying the film’s release is the current situation in the Middle East.

The makers stated, “Toxic is filmed in Kannada and English with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world and with excitement we announced that the film will be with you all on the 19th of March.”

The makers added, “However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach the widest possible audience and in the wake of this, we took the decision to reschedule the release.”

The statement reads, "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups will now be released in cinemas across the globe in English and other Indian languages on 4th June 2026."

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film marks Yash's return to the big screen four years after his previous film KGF Chapter 2. 

The movie presents a savage action-thriller saga that explores the hidden criminal activities of Goa during the 1940s to 1970s period.

The film features an ensemble cast including Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The film is produced by Venkat K.
