Global actress Priyanka Chopra recently reflected about her traditional pre-marriage ritual, the roka ceremony, with better half Nick Jonas.

In a candid interview, the Indian star confesssed, "It didn’t hit me when he put the ring on my finger."

During an interview on Mythical Kitchen, the 43-year-old mother of one stated, "But when we walked hand in hand, I was like, ‘Oh, things are shifting, this is different. I am choosing my family.’”

She also spoke about how the Find You hitmaker impressed her aunties. “After the ceremony, they were thrilled. He said swaha perfectly and even played the Dholak. They loved him,” she noted.

Additionally, she told the host about the Jonas Brothers star heartfelt moment with her, saying he told her that it feels like that they were in their “third or fourth lifetime,” referencing the seven rounds in Indian weddings symbolizing promises for seven lifetimes.

For those unfamiliar, the duo first met online in 2016. They appeared together publicly at the 2017 Met Gala, got engaged in 2018, and exchanged vows in Jodhpur later that year with both Hindu and Christian ceremonies.

In 2022, they welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in 2022.
