Bollywood star Nora Fatehi defends her peace message as social media users reacted strongly
Nora Fatehi, who received backlash after urging peace during the Iran and Israel tensions, has finally clapped back to her critics online.
Taking to her official Instagram handle, the 34-year-old Canadian dancer posted another video to address the people who didn’t understand her point, on Tuesday, March 3.
In the clip, she said people have “lost touch with comprehension and listening skills,” adding that critical thinking is something we all learned in school.
She explained that her message about peace and unity is for everyone, no matter where they live or what faith they follow.
“If you feel triggered by a call for peace, it’s time to check yourself,” she added. “Every country, every person is part of this world. Speaking against chaos doesn’t make you the enemy.”
Moreover, the actress shared a personal moment, reflecting during her fast, “We live in a world where people get angry if you speak about peace. That’s scary.”
Along with the video, she wrote, “Standing on business… If world peace and unity is triggering you, then please get some help.”
This follows her earlier statement on the Middle East conflict, which drew reactions and criticism on social media. Posted a few days ago, in which the Bollywood star confessed about the constant upsetting news and visuals have affected her emotionally.
