WNBA superstar Angel Reese was seen wiping away tears of joy this week as she watched her young brother, Julian “Juju” Reese, achieve his lifelong dream.
After grinding through the G League, Julian recently signed a two-way contract with the Washington Wizards and Angel was there courtside to witness his second professional start against the Orlando Magic.
The Chicago Sky star did not hide her emotions during the game. Seated in the front row and wearing her brother’s jersey, she was caught on camera getting misty-eyed while watching him compete.
Julian, a 6-foot-10 forward, finished the night with a solid performance of nine points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
Earlier in the week, when the news of his signing first broke, Angel took to social media to share her excitement. She wrote:
“My baby brother. Ugh I’m so proud of you! Your journey has never been easy & you’ve always stayed the course! Let’s go Juju!” She also shared a touching throwback photo of the two of them as children, captioning it, “FOREVER US,” to highlight their unbreakable bond.
Julian expressed his own gratitude for the opportunity to play close to their hometown of Baltimore, saying, “Being able to stay in the DMV means a lot. My mom does not have to travel too far to watch me play and that’s really the biggest thing.”
