Vijay Crishna passes away, leaving behind a lasting legacy in cinema
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan Devdas co-star Vijay Crishna went to eternal rest.
Based on latest reports, the cause of the death of the veteran actor, who died at the age of 81, has not been revealed yet.
During his long career, the deceased appeared in films such as Gandhi and PK and was admired by fans and fellow actors.
Apart from his acting career, the late artist served as an executive director in the Godrej family businesses before retiring in 2021.
He was survived by his wife, Smita Crishna, who is a prominent stock trader, and their two daughters, Nyrika Holkar and Freyan.
Theatre and film veteran Lillete Dubey paid tribute, saying, "Heartbroken… our dearest Vijay Crishna… part of our theatre family & ‘Dance Like a Man’ for over 25 year."
Moreover, she added, "A brilliant actor, charming, bright, with his dry, tongue-in-cheek humour. He was loved and cherished by us all… so many memories flood the heart & mind."
However, Bhansali Productions posted a throwback clip from Devdas, reminding fans of the film’s huge scale. In 2002, it was India’s priciest film and earned a Guinness World Record.
