Jersey Shore Family Vacation is set for a wrap-up after MTV confirmed the show will end following its upcoming ninth season.

MTV’s long-running reality spin-off season 9 is scheduled to premiere on May 7 and will run for 18 episodes. It marks the end of a franchise that has remained a staple of MTV’s reality programming for more than a decade.

The series debuted in 2018 as a revival of the original Jersey Shore, which aired on MTV for six seasons between 2009 and 2012 and became a cultural phenomenon.

Bringing the cast back together years later, Family Vacation followed their lives beyond the boardwalk, capturing major milestones, shifting friendships, and the same unpredictable antics that made the original show a hit.

In a statement announcing the last season, the network described the final instalment as “the culmination of a franchise that entertained millions with major life milestones, laugh-out-loud chaos, and the unfiltered chemistry that defined an era of reality television.”

There are currently no plans for another Jersey Shore series, according to the network.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation is produced by SallyAnn Salsano, Frank Miccolis, Sean Hogan, Oren Krygier, and Ashli Tortorello for 495 Productions.

Benjamin Hurvitz and Jennifer Aguirre serve as executive producers for MTV, with Matthew Parillo and Marko Radosavljevic overseeing production.
