Rashmika and Vijay flaunt Kodava heritage at Hyderabad reception
Rashmika and Vijay opted for head-to-toe traditional South Indian attire with rich accessories
Newly married stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are still the talk of the internet. Days after their wedding, fans continue to look closely at everything, from the ceremony outfits to their latest reception looks.
Last night they have finally made their much-awaited appearance at their wedding reception in Hyderabad. And it was simple, traditional and full of warmth.
The couple arrived hand in hand, smiling softly as they posed for the paparazzi before stepping inside the venue. They even bowed down in front of the cameras and interacted briefly.
While many celebrity weddings lean towards modern or minimalist styles these days, the Geetha Govindam stars seemed to go in the opposite direction.
The 29-year-old actress wore a custom Jade by Monica and Karishma outfit, a deep red Mysore silk saree with a gold border. The colour stayed close to classic Indian wedding tones, something she also chose for the main ceremony.
Styled by Ami Patel, her jewellery also caught attention. She wore heavy gold pieces, continuing a theme seen throughout her wedding celebrations.
Her layered necklace, big earrings, hath phool and kamarband stood out. Her hair was tied back in a sleek braid decorated with red flowers. But it was her sindoor and bindi that caught most eyes.
Next to her, the 36-year-old groom kept it traditional and simple in an ivory Pattu Pancha set and plain white shirt with an ivory mundu.
He added a thick chain, a simple watch and a kada. Silver boots slightly peeked out as he posed beside his bride.
The reception also brought the families together for pictures, all dressed in festive outfits.
The couple married on 26 February in Udaipur in a private ceremony that blended Telugu and Kodava traditions.
Their wedding photos later became the most-liked post by an Indian account, crossing 27 million likes.
