Brooklyn Beckham upset by ‘performative’ birthday tributes from David and Victoria
Brooklyn Beckham’s reaction to parents’ birthday posts fuels family feud
Brooklyn Beckham is reportedly heartbroken following his parents’ recent tribute to him on his 27th birthday.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the 26-year-old British media personality did not appreciate David Beckham and Victoria Beckham’s public gesture of love after he had openly admitted that he does not plan to reconcile with his family.
"These are the exact type of performative, public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail," an insider told the outlet.
Both Victoria and David posted throwback photos with Brooklyn to mark the occasion. "I love you so much," Victoria wrote, while David added, "Happy birthday, Bust. We love you."
The eldest son of the Beckham family, however, did not react to his parents’ wishes and instead chose to shower love on his wife Nicola Peltz’s birthday message.
A source previously shared that Victoria and David’s "door remains open" to mending their relationship with their son, but Brooklyn and Nicola are not currently looking to reconnect.
"Brooklyn and Nicola have been trying to stay away from this ongoing drama and focus on each other and building their own lives," the source claimed. "They would love to move on from this."
Shortly after Brooklyn’s reported reaction to his parents’ birthday wishes made headlines, fans were quick to extend support to David and Victoria on social media.
"OMG! My parents say happy birthday to me... What a tragedy! I'm so traumatised," one user wrote.
Another remarked, "At this point, if they didn't say anything for his birthday it would also be an issue. Wishing their son happy birthday and saying ‘I love you’ is totally normal."
"He married a performative girl who is doing the same exact thing, and he’s the one who aired all the laundry on social media. I think this girl’s got a hold on him. Very sad," a third noted.
Brooklyn Beckham’s allegations against David and Victoria
Brooklyn previously made a six-page scathing Instagram statement against his parents in January 2026, claiming that David and Victoria had always tried to control his life, which caused him overwhelming anxiety.
