India secured a 7-run victory over England
The stage is set for a historic showdown as India and New Zealand prepare to clash in the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
The match will take place on Sunday, March 8, at the world's largest cricket venue, the Narendra Modi Stadium.
India secured their spot in the final after a pulse-pounding 7-run victory over England at the Wankhede Stadium.
Star opener Sanju Samson was the hero, smashing a brilliant 89 off 42 balls to help India post a record-breaking total of 253.
Despite a valiant century from England's Jacob Bethell, India's bowlers held their nerve in a final-over thriller.
New Zealand reached the summit clash following a dominant 9-wicket win against South Africa, powered by Finn Allen, who hammered the fastest century in T20 World Cup history off just 33 balls.
The final promises to be a massive spectacle, featuring a pre-match performance by global pop icon Ricky Martin. With 132,000 fans expected, India aims to become the first team to win the trophy on home soil.
