Javed Akhtar recently gave a positive update on his longtime friend and writing partner, Salim Khan, who is recovering well after a health scare.

The veteran writer and Salman Khan’s father was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai, on February 17 after experiencing a minor brain haemorrhage. The doctors performed a small procedure and revealed that he is stable and being closely monitored in the ICU.

At a recent book launch in Delhi, the iconic lyricist spoke about Salim’s condition, saying, “Salim is fine now. He’s okay and recovering. He’s sitting on a chair and talking, and I mean, he has improved.”

Meanwhile Salim continues his recovery, his eldest born has returned to the sets of his forthcoming movie Battle of Galwan.

For the unversed, the shoot of the war drama had been paused while he stayed by his father’s side. Recently, he was spotted on set, seen smiling and posing with fans.

Alongside Salman, the upcoming box office hit film stars Santosh Babu, Chitrangda Singh, Abhilash Chaudhary, Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Heera Sohal, and Vipin Bhardwaj.
