Lily Collins has been on cloud nine ever since she was reunited with a special and meaningful piece of jewellery.
On Friday, March 6, the 36-year-old actress took to her Instagram Stories to share an exciting update with her 29.1 million followers, revealing that she had finally recovered her engagement ring after three years.
Collins, who is married to American film director and screenwriter Charlie McDowell, revealed that she had recovered her original engagement ring after it was stolen.
"So grateful to @joethejewelerchicago for helping recover my original engagement ring after it was stolen almost three years ago," she penned.
The Emily in Paris star added, "Having this home means SO much to us. I'm still speechless, it's back on my finger."
Collins’ statement piece, along with her wedding ring and other valuable belongings, was stolen from a West Hollywood hotel on May 6, 2023.
When did Lily Collins get engaged to Charlie McDowell?
The couple got engaged in September 2020 and exchanged vows a year later in an intimate wedding ceremony in Dunton, Colorado.
Collins and McDowell also expanded their family by welcoming their first child, a daughter, Tove, via surrogacy in January 2025.
"Welcome to the center of our world. Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way," the Inheritance actress announced on social media.
"We love you to the moon and back again…" she continued.
Lily Collin’s upcoming project
The ring update comes shortly after it was announced that Collins will play the iconic Audrey Hepburn in a highly anticipated untitled film about the making of the 1961 classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
"It’s with almost 10 years of development and a lifetime of admiration and adoration for Audrey that I’m finally able to share this," she said. "Honoured and ecstatic don’t begin to express how I feel…"
Alena Smith has been announced as the writer for the upcoming film, while further details, including the release date, have yet to be revealed.
