Just like Reese Witherspoon, her longtime friend and co-star Jennifer Garner is also fond of classic books.

Jennifer’s idea of a perfect weekend is to read a book while enjoying her ‘me’ time.

In her latest interview for Bustle‘s One Nightstand video series, the 13 Going on 30 actress shared that the perfect book for her is none other than Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.

Elaborating on why she loves this novel, Jennifer replied, “It has love; it has intrigue. It has the country kids doing okay.”

Another reason, she revealed that it “has the missing father and the promise of him possibly appearing as well as the perfect blessed mother,” element in the 18th century classic novel.

What’s more is that the book also has “the scare of illness, and then it has tragedy. It has real tragedy”.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Jennifer also praised the character Marmee, the matriarch of the March family and mother of the four March sisters: Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy.

“I’d love to be like Marmee. I hope my kids think that I’m a little bit like Marmee,” admitted the Elektra actress, who shares three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck.

However, Jennifer mentioned that she “always identified with Jo” character, who she think is more like her.

“Jo is an ambitious, tomboyish aspiring writer who serves as the book’s main protagonist.”

The actress recalled portraying the character of Jo in her high school production, adding, “I actually danced a ballet of Little Women in high school.”

“My mom calls me ‘Jo’ because of Jo [March],” she concluded.
