Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, was recently involved in a harrowing incident near her Beverly Hills residence, leaving fans concerned about her safety.

On Sunday, March 8, the 38-year-old Barbadian singer and businesswoman’s home was targeted in a shooting when a 30-year-old woman allegedly drove up to the property and fired multiple rounds from an AR-15-style rifle at the house.

According to a representative from the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were called to the location at about 1:15 p.m. after reports of gunfire.

The suspect’s vehicle was later located about eight miles (12 km) away from the singer’s home, where the woman was detained. She has not yet been publicly identified.

Authorities also recovered a weapon. No injuries were reported.

The LAPD added, “This is an active Robbery-Homicide Division investigation.”

An insider confirmed to PEOPLE that Rihanna was home at the time of the incident, though it remains unclear whether her husband, A$AP Rocky, was also there with their children, RZA, Riot, and Rocki.

Is Rihanna safe?

Amid concerns for the Diamonds hitmaker’s safety, a source said the singer is doing “okay” and was unharmed.

Rihanna and her representatives have yet to comment on the situation.
