With just days left before its release, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is already creating steady buzz, helped by strong advance bookings and a confirmed streaming partner.

The spy thriller, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, is scheduled to hit cinemas on 19 March. 

Its trailer, which recently dropped online, not only gave audiences a glimpse of the film’s action but also quietly revealed where it will land after theatres.

The trailer confirmed that the film will stream on JioHotstar after its theatrical run, though the digital release date has not yet been announced.

Early ticket sales suggest strong interest from audiences. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has already sold more than two lakh tickets across languages. 

The early sales have reportedly collected around Rs 18.11 crore for the opening day in India, including block bookings.

The spy thriller’s release timing has also worked in its favour. It was initially expected to face competition from Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash.

But the gangster drama, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has been postponed to 4 June after rising tensions in the Middle East affected the makers’ plans.

That shift has cleared the way for Dhurandhar 2 to arrive without a major box-office clash.

It is a follow-up to Dhurandhar, which was released in December 2025 and later streamed on Netflix after its theatre run.

With ticket sales rising and the release date getting closer, attention is now on how audiences respond to Ranveer’s latest action outing once it finally reaches cinemas.
