'Ted Lasso' is coming back for a fourth season

As Ted Lasso gears up for its fourth season, fans have been eager to know if Phil Dunster will reprise his role as Jamie Tart.

Speaking to People, at the New York City premiere of his new Rooster show on HBO, on March 3, the 33-year-old English actor hinted at a possible return on the Apple TV sports comedy series.

When asked if he had been in touch with Hannah Waddingham and Jason Sudeikis, who are both returning to the show, about filming ,Phil kept his response short and simple.

"Yes. Maybe. Maybe," he quipped.

"I'm so happy that it's still in the world, and I love that show so much," he added. "I can't wait to watch it."

After season four of Ted Lasso was announced back in March 2025, Deadline reported that Phil would likely not return due to scheduling issues. Although a smaller role might be possible.

But fans may be excited to learn that Brett Goldstein, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple and Brendan Hunt are also set to return.
