Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos called off their engagement with a “mutual decision,” but both of them are “heartbroken”.

On Saturday, March 7, TMZ reported that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback and his fiancée have broken up ahead of their wedding in Italy in five weeks.

Prescott and Ramos’ reps confirmed to PEOPLE on Monday that two of them are "both heartbroken that they’re not getting married."

Ramos and Prescott, who share two children together, daughters Margaret Jane Rose and Aurora Rayne, were rumoured to break their split on negative terms.

However, the reps shared that, "There wasn’t any rockiness in the lead up, and there was no big argument or blow up. It was a mutual decision."

Ramos’ source also added that, "they love their girls, and they’re committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way.”

However, they are shocked by this since this happened so recently, as the reps said, “they ask for privacy while they sort everything out.”

Ramos, a Tampa native, was first linked to Dak Prescott in September 2023, and the pair got engaged in October 2024.

Ramos also shared an Instagram carousel featuring moments from her bachelorette getaway in the Bahamas on Thursday, March 5. It included several photos of Ramos celebrating alongside a large group of close female friends.
