This week’s OTT releases bring a mix of stories, from personal journeys and newsroom struggles to rural conflicts and romantic complications, reflecting the range of themes currently shaping South Indian entertainment.
1. Made in Korea

Made in Korea centres on Shenbagam, often called Shenba, a young woman from a small town in Tamil Nadu whose fascination with Korean culture has followed her since childhood.
What begins as a quiet dream eventually pushes her to travel to Seoul, where the reality of the city proves far more complicated than the fantasy she had imagined. As she moves through unfamiliar streets and situations, the story follows her struggles, small triumphs and moments of doubt while she tries to find her place in a completely different world.
The series features actors including Shiva Kandukuri, Rajeev Kanakala, Teju Ashwini, Rajkumar Kasireddy, Chaitanya Krishna, Vadlamani Srinivas and Mani Chandana.
2. Nawab Cafe

The cast includes Rishikanth, Abdool Lee, R. Pandiarajan, Rini, Moorish Dass and Adwitha Arumugam, who portray a team of reporters caught between old-school journalism and the realities of a changing industry.
4. Resort

The drama Resort, directed by Praveen Bennett, unfolds inside the polished setting of the upscale RR Resort.

5. Pookie

The film follows the emotional fallout of that moment and how it reshapes their lives. Ajay Dhishan, RK Dhanusha, Pandiarajan, Sunil and Shiyara appear in key roles throughout the story.
6. Landlord

The Kannada-language film Landlord, directed by Jadesh K Hampi, is set in a rural village during the 1980s where much of the land is controlled by a powerful and oppressive landlord.
Life in the village is shaped by fear and dependency until tensions begin to rise between the landlord and an ordinary villager who refuses to remain silent.
As the conflict grows, the community gradually gathers courage, aided by a newly appointed police constable.

7. Funky

Funky, directed by KV Anudeep, follows Komal, an aspiring filmmaker who sets out to make his first movie, also titled Funky.
What should have been a small project quickly turns chaotic as the production budget grows far beyond expectations, causing serious stress for the producer Sudarshan.
Eventually Komal is pushed aside and Chitra takes over as director in an attempt to salvage the film. The story then focuses on the struggles of the team trying to finish the movie with limited resources while dealing with personal tensions, and an unexpected romance that develops between Komal and Chitra.
The film stars Vishwak Sen, Kayadu Lohar, Naresh, VTV Ganesh, Sampath Raj and Easwari Rao.
8. Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi

Directed by Kishore Tirumala, Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi centres on Ram Satyanarayana, a vineyard owner who travels to Spain to promote a new wine product.
During the trip he meets Manasa Shetty, the head of a Spanish company, who quickly develops feelings for him. The situation becomes complicated when it emerges that Ram is already married to Balamani back in India.
The film follows the increasingly awkward and often humorous attempts by Ram to maintain both relationships without revealing the truth.
Ravi Teja leads the cast alongside Ashika Ranganath, Dimple Hayathi, Sunil, Vennela Kishore, Getup Srinu, Muralidhar Goud and Sathya.
