Akshay Kumar starrer, comedy film Bhagam Bhag 2 has run into trouble before the cameras could start rolling.

The much awaited sequel to the 2006 hit was earlier planned to begin filming in March. But the plan has now changed after a legal dispute between producer Ekta Kapoor and director Raaj Shaandilyaa.

The disagreement has not been resolved and as a result it slowed the film’s production.

Because of this issue, the shoot has now been pushed to August 2026.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, "Bhagam Bhag 2 was set to begin in March in India, but the shoot schedule got stalled due to the legal battle between Ekta Kapoor and Raaj Shaandilyaa.

The actor's dates went haywire, and the next window for everyone to reunite is in August. The team is working to reschedule the shoot in the second half of the year, and hopes that all legal issues are sorted by then."

The delay has also affected the dates of the film’s cast, including the Khiladi star.

Sources say the team may still try to shoot a few small portions earlier if the schedules somehow match.

The source added, "Akshay has all his dates blocked for now, but if a window opens, he might give some days to team Bhagam Bhag 2."

Meanwhile, the actor has moved on to other projects. He recently completed a shooting schedule for a film directed by Anees Bazmee and is now expected to start work on Golmaal 5 with director Rohit Shetty.

Until the legal matter is sorted, Bhagam Bhag 2 will have to wait before it can finally begin filming.
