Aneet Padda will not portray the iconic actress Madhubala in her forthcoming biopic, despite recent claims.

However, a spokesperson from Yash Raj Films (YRF) set the record straight, “It’s untrue,” they told NDTV.

Meanwhile, the Instant Bollywood also took to Instagram, calling the casting claims “completely baseless” and confirming no such project is currently in the works.

This comes after several reports suggested that the young actress had been signed to lead the highly talked about project.

Previously, Kiara Advani was linked to the upcoming film under Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production, although insiders denied it.

For the unversed, before gaining recognition from Saiyaara, Aneet made appearance in a small role in the 2022 film Salaam Venky alongside Kajol, which gave her first hand experience on a major film set.

She later made her OTT debut with the web series Big Girls Don’t Cry in 2024, impressing audiences with her performance.
