Dempsey Bryk is stepping into a bigger role in We Were Liars, with the actor coming back as a series regular for the thriller’s upcoming second season at Amazon MGM studios.

For the unversed, the hit show is a series adaptation of YA novel by E. Lockhart.

Dempsey was first seen in season 1 as Ebon, a gritty Boston local who spends his summers navigating the world of the ultra wealthy while captaining a charter boat for senators and celebrities.

After a devastating loss in the previous installment, he returns to Martha’s Vineyard focused on making money, not building friendships.

He has no interest in the rich and their messy secrets but that’s nearly impossible to escape.

We Were Liars follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman (Emily Alyn Lind), a privileged teenager, coming from a wealthy family, who spends her summers on her family’s private island alongside close friends known as “the Liars,” until a mysterious accident leaves her with amnesia and forces her to uncover the truth.
