Live-Action Tinker Bell series 'Tink' in development at Disney+
New Tinker Bell project is in the works
Disney's beloved fairy Tinker Bell from Peter Pan is preparing to take flight in a new live-action television adaptation, as per Deadline.
The outlet reported that Disney is working on a new drama series titled Tink, featuring the iconic fairy, with Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter attached to the project.
The studio has been developing a modern take on the character, first created by J.M. Barrie, for a long time and now the project is shaping up to be a major addition for the streamer.
Tinker Bell made her first appearance in Disney’s animated Peter Pan and has since starred in numerous films and series over the past 70 years.
The live-action Tink project had initially began in 2015 with Reese Witherspoon set to play the lead.
In 2021, the film was reimagined after Gary Marsh stepped down from his role as President and Chief Creative Officer at Disney Branded Television and launched a Disney-backed production company.
Black-ish star Yara Shahidi brought Tinker Bell to life on the live-action film Peter Pan & Wendy, back in 2023.
