Niall Horan is preparing to return to the stage and has hinted at a larger tour.

Former One Direction star announced two stadium shows with country star Thomas Rhett this summer.

The singer shared the news with fans on Instagram on March 10.

He further revealed that the shows will feature both artists performing their own sets along with collaborative moments on stage.

“Absolutely cannot wait to get back on stage and perform for you all,” Horan wrote while announcing the concerts.

The singer added that the idea for the shows originally came from Rhett and he was immediately excited about the collaboration.

“When TR brought up the idea of doing these, I immediately got so excited just thinking about it. We’ve been friends for ages and it just makes perfect sense,” he said.

The first performance is scheduled for July 9 at Geodis Park in Nashville followed by a second show on July 18 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey.

Horan also hinted that the stadium concerts are only the beginning of a much bigger plan.

“This is just the beginning of course,” he wrote. “I’ll be doing a big long tour for the album but these shows are gonna get things started and be absolutely amazing.”

The announcement comes shortly after Horan released Dinner Party the lead single from his upcoming fourth studio album.

The singer has not yet confirmed the album’s release date but the new music and tour plans signal that a new era in his career is underway.
