Nicole Kidman has made a surprising revelation about her Big Little Lies co-star Alexander Skarsgård.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Las Culturistas podcast, the 58-year-old actress revealed she once struggled while filming a kissing scene with the 49-year-old actor for the hit 2017 series.

"When Alexander Skarsgård ate a falafel sandwich before we did the scenes in Big Little Lies, I'm like, "No, no, no, Alex. I'm meant to be into you and kissing you - put away the falafel now,"' Kidman recalled.

She joked, "I’m sure he did not eat a falafel ever again. I said, 'No more falafel. Not before you kiss, not before you make love.'"

Detailing the awkward moment, the Babygirl star admitted that bad breath is an instant turn-off for her.

"I cannot stand bad breath," she said. "This is a deal-breaker for me. You could be the most gorgeous guy, and if you came at me with bad breath, I’m like, 'no.'"

"If I say, 'Breathe on me,' and I have to recoil, yikes, I'm out. You could not offer me enough money," she added.

However, Kidman laughed that she felt "relieved" when she temporarily lost her sense of smell during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Elsewhere in the podcast episode, the Oscar-winning actress also revealed that Rihanna smells the best among all the celebrities she has met.

On the personal front, Kidman recently separated from her husband, Keith Urban, after 19 years of marriage.

The former couple reportedly finalised their divorce in January 2026. They share two daughters together, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and Faith Margaret Kidman Urban.
