Veteran scriptwriter and Salim Khan has now been sent home from Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday (March 17) after a month-long stay. 

As per a source, Salman Khan had shown up at the hospital early morning, around 6 am, mainly to sort out the discharge paperwork, and when Salim Khan was finally leaving the premises, other members of the family were also there with him.

He got discharged sharp at 10:24 am.

The father of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, had been taken to the hospital a month back, on February 17. Later, doctors shared that he had gone through a slight brain haemorrhage.

During his time there, treatment was ongoing, and once things started getting better, doctors advised that he could head back home.

A group of specialist doctors at Lilavati kept a close eye on him the entire time. The clot was treated during his hospital stay, and doctors were satisfied with his recovery.

Family stayed around him through the whole phase, while fans and well-wishers from different places kept sending prayers and good wishes.

Salim and Salma, who got married in 1964, have four children, Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira. Later in 1981, Salim married veteran actress Helen.

The couple completed 61 years of their marriage in November 2025, and he also celebrated his 90th birthday the same month, surrounded by his close ones.

Talking about his work, Salim Khan still holds a strong place as one of the most important writers in Indian cinema. As part of Salim-Javed, he wrote major films like Zanjeer, Sholay, Deewaar, Don and Trishul.
