Anne Hathaway got candid as she admitted that juggling life as an actress while raising two children can feel nearly impossible.

During a recent conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, the 43-year-old actress revealed that despite her success, she still feels "very defeated" when it comes to finding balance between motherhood and her professional life.

Hathaway, a mother of two sons, shared that before having children, her focus was mainly on one thing, but now her attention is split.

"Before, there was this focus that was really uncompromising and uninterrupted," she explained. "And I just can’t tell you anymore what life is like without kids, but kids interrupt you all the time."

"My friends and I talk about it a lot, and we actually feel very defeated by the concept of balance," The Devil Wears Prada star added. "If the weight shifts in one direction, you then have to bounce it up on the other side, and we find that it winds us up as opposed to making us steady."

However, Hathaway and her friends are now embracing a more forgiving approach instead of chasing balance. "We’re like, 'We seek to harmonize our lives,'" she said.
