Sonam Kapoor, with her businessman husband, Anand Ahuja, welcomed their second son on March 29. 

The couple announced the arrival of their baby boy through a special post on Instagram.

In the post, the 40-year-old actor announced that their family has grown, and their hearts feel fuller than ever. She added that their elder son, Vayu, is thrilled to have a baby brother.

She captioned her post as, "Our family has grown, and with his arrival, our hearts have expanded in the most beautiful way."

The Neerja actress added, "Vayu is overjoyed to welcome his little brother, and we feel deeply blessed by this precious new life who has filled our home with happiness and grace."

She concluded the post saying they were thankful to start this new phase together as a family of four.

Fans and celebrities rushed to congratulate the pair. Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Kajol, Parineeti Chopra, Vaani Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Huma Haq extend their heartfull messages in comments.

The  Pad Man actor had earlier announced her second pregnancy with a series of photos on Instagram. 

In that post, she shared a striking hot-pink wool suit inspired by Princess Diana's iconic style, captioned simply "MOTHER."

The couple married in an intimate Punjabi ceremony in May 2018, and welcomed their first child, Vayu, in 2022. 

Since becoming a mother, Sonam has been taking a break from films but has remained active socially, in public events and gatherings with friends and colleagues.

On the work front, she began her film career with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya in 2007 and has featured in several films including Delhi-6, Aisha, Raanjhanaa, Khoobsurat, Dolly Ki Doli, and Veere Di Wedding.
