Kylie Jenner has offered rare insight into her role within her Kylie Cosmetics empire, years after selling a majority stake of the business to Coty Inc. for $600 million.

During an appearance on Big Boy Podcast, the 28-year-old businesswoman and reality star revealed that she remains deeply involved in every aspect of her brand.

“I’m super involved. Like, really crazy about everything,” Kylie said, emphasising her continued passion for the company more than a decade after its launch.

She added, “I do the Instagram. I do all the posts. I do all the marketing, all the shoots, picking the models, all the makeup, all the formulas, knowing all the factories.”

The mother of two also expressed gratitude for the work she gets to do through her brand.

“10 years later, I'm just so grateful because I really love it. I go to work every day in the office and I can't believe I get to play with makeup all day,” she remarked.

Kylie’s comments echo what her mother, Kris Jenner, previously said about her continued involvement in the business.

Following the sale, Kris noted that her youngest daughter and her team would “continue to lead all creative efforts in terms of product and communications initiatives.”

“She feels like this is where she belongs, this is where her passion is, since she really wants to use her creative side to develop her brand,” the 70-year-old socialite said on CNBC in 2019. “And this is what she wants to do for rest of her life. She talks about it all the time.”

Previously, Kylie also shared her vision of transforming the brand into a legacy she can one day pass on to her daughter, Stormi.

“After 10 years, I’m just still so excited to create. [It's my] dream [ for Stormi] take over. I would love for this to be a legacy brand, and I’m working hard every day to set up that future,” the reality TV star said as she revealed her dream of passing on her business to her daughter.

When did Kylie Jenner launch Kylie Cosmetics?

Kylie launched her beauty business in 2015 as Lip Kit by Kylie, initially offering liquid lipstick and lip liner sets.

The brand was rebranded as Kylie Cosmetics in 2016 and has since expanded into a full range of beauty and skincare products.
