The road to Hera Pheri 3 is still not smooth. The film, which many fans have been waiting for, is once again in the news. But again, not for a release date.

This time, the talk was about screenwriter Rohan Shankar. Reports said he had left the project. That created fresh confusion around a film already facing many problems.

But Shankar has now broken his silence and cleared things up.

Taking to social media, he said, “Some fake news is being spread in my name about a big film. It’s completely false and has almost no truth in it. A simple interview about my work and cinema has been taken out of context and made into a clickbait headline. Please ignore it.”

The issue seems to have started after an interview where he spoke about delays. He mentioned legal troubles and scheduling problems. 

Director Priyadarshan is also busy with other work. But his words were read as if he had quit.

The film has had a long list of troubles. There were legal fights over rights. There were also creative differences. At one point, Paresh Rawal stepped away, before returning again. Actor Suniel Shetty is said to have helped fix things.

The original trio, including Akshay Kumar, is still expected to return. That keeps hope alive.
