Karan Johar’s ‘Nazdeekiyan’ takes cues from ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’
The Mid-Day report states that Karan upcoming web series Nazdeekiyan shows inspiration from his film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan and Preity Zinta.
"The series is a contemporary take on infidelity. Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna though controversial at the time aged well with generations resonating with the four leads’ conflict."
The report further stated that the production house "was keen to revisit the idea and from there the story for Nazdeekiyan was fleshed out.”
Though the show is set to showcase similar issues, the storyline will not be the same. The report added, "The DNA is similar but the situations and setting of the four leads here are different."
All about Nazdeekiyan
The show is directed by Ruchir Arun and is reportedly set to have 20 episodes. Taha Shah Badussha and Nikita Dutta will serve as the main actors of the production. The series will stream on Amazon Prime Video. The official premiere date is yet to be announced.
