Kanye West’s planned return to the UK stage has sparked mounting backlash ahead of his scheduled appearance at a major music event.

Ye is scheduled as the sole headliner across all three nights at Finsbury Park from July 10 to 12, 2026, for London’s Wireless Festival.

Pepsi has announced it is withdrawing its sponsorship of the Wireless Festival following outrage surrounding the rapper’s booking, ending a co-branding partnership that had been in place since 2015.

In a brief statement shared with multiple British outlets, the company confirmed its decision but did not directly reference Ye.

“Pepsi has decided to withdraw its sponsorship of Wireless Festival,” the company said in a short statement given to multiple British news organizations.

The move came just hours after Keir Starmer publicly criticised the booking, citing the artist’s past antisemitic remarks. In a statement to The Sun, the British leader described the decision to host Ye as “deeply concerning” and stressed that antisemitism must be firmly confronted to ensure safety for Jewish communities.

Despite the backlash, the Wireless Festival website continued to promote Ye. The listing still referenced Pepsi’s branding as of Sunday morning, even after the company’s withdrawal announcement.

While some fans have welcomed the rapper’s return to live performances, social media criticism has intensified, with users calling out corporate associations with the controversial figure.
