Indian Punjabi singer and actress Sunanda Sharma faced an unexpected incident during her live performance at Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology( RKGIT) in Ghaziabad on April 3, 2026.

During the college fest, a student suddenly rushed onto the stage while the Jaani Tera Naa singer was performing.

Viral videos showed the fan trying to approach her and touch her feets, which caused fear among the audience. Security staff intervened immediately, and Sunanda stepped off the stage for safety. The situation was quickly brought under control.

Sunanda later addressed the incident on Instagram. She said, “Everyone was scared, and I was too. My reaction was very quick and very loud.” She added that artists need to stay alert during performances for safety reasons. “Artists like us have to be a little cautious due to security reasons,” she explained.

The Duji Vaar Pyar singer also mentioned that the college authorities took strict action against the student but requested leniency.

“I request everyone to forgive him, because I have forgiven him too,” she said. She added, “Sometimes the way someone expresses love goes a little wrong. I don’t think he had any ill intentions, but the way he expressed it went a little wrong.”

The student later issued a public apology through a video message. He said, “Mera intention kuch galat nahi tha. Mera intention aap ko hurt karna nahi tha,” clarifying that he had no harmful intentions and was simply a fan of the singer.
