Niall Horan makes surprising confession years after One Direction split
One Direction went on indefinite hiatus in 2016
Niall Horan made an emotional statement while talking about his time One Direction.
The popular English Irish band was formed in 2010 on the X-Factor and included Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall.
The band went on a hiatus in 2016 for an indefinite period with each member now pursuing their solo careers.
Years later, Niall has confessed that they all knew the band was coming to an end.
While promoting his upcoming album “Dinner Party” at the Tommy Tiernan Show for RTE, the Slow Hands singer added, "We knew it was coming to an end about a year out. You have to plan, obviously, right? We are not gonna make another album.”
“We are not gonna make another tour. But you're still going, it's not gonna stop. And I just remember being like, just sad it was over, just because we had a great time.”
Horan recalled, “Travelling the world, playing to an average of about 65.000 people a night in every corner of the globe. I was just loving it. I was just having the greatest time ever."
All the 1D members are bringing out their new work this year. Louis released his album “How Did I Get Here” in January. Meanwhile, Harry released “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” in March.
Zayn and Niall are looking forward to releasing their new records on April 17 and June 5 respectively.
