Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has spoken in a quiet but honest way about something he rarely faces, a day without work.

Writing on his personal blog, the 83-year-old  said it feels “disturbing” when his routine breaks. After more than six decades in cinema, he admits that even one free day can feel unfamiliar.

"It seems disturbing to not be working each day .. and when you do not work each day according to a schedule .. the entire process of habit forming that pre seeded .. the day suddenly becomes a mystery of deeds, which normally would have worked in perfect unison," he wrote.

The Shahenshah star reflected that routine is not just habit, it is stability. When that rhythm is gone, he says, people begin to question why the day feels off.

He added, "And you wonder, why the day is not behaving the way you normally wish it to be .. so if there is some understanding of this element within us , then 'may there be peace and calm around us' .. but for some it never happens .. and that is an added anxiety .. living in anxiety , they say, is harmful for the mind and body .. and leading an anxious day , on the weakness of this phenomena is un required."

His statement comes at a time when the actor remains as active as ever.

He was last seen hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati and while working for the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, that featured Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan.
