The Devil Wears Prada 2 drops its first original track, an upbeat dance rhythm, Runway, performed in collaboration by Lady Gaga and Doechii.

In the final trailer released by 20th Century Studios, which follows Meryl Streep as Runway magazine’s editor-in-chief, Miranda Priestly, dealing with the decline of print journalism and attempting to find her footing in a dying industry.

During the action, a first listen to the new original song plays in the background.

Priestly finds herself going head-to-head with Emily Blunt’s character, her former assistant, now a powerful executive at a luxury group controlling the advertising revenue she urgently needs.

Gaga and Doechii’s collaboration came after last year, when the Abracadabra singer praised her in an interview with British Vogue.

Gaga said it was rare to see an artist emerge with a pen that feels “immediately legendary,” describing Doechii as exactly that. She added that she “fell in love” with Doechii’s music and her “raw, deeply personal perspective.”

“The power in her words, her vulnerability, the way she rhymes with this wild mix of audacity and emotional precision – it struck me to the core,” she added.

As reported earlier, Gaga is slated to appear in the fashion film, which opens in theatres on May 1.
