Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton have reportedly hit their first bump just a day after making their romance official.

According to a report by Globe magazine, the 45-year-old reality star has allegedly been met with disapproval from the 41-year-old Formula 1 champion’s mother, Carmen Larbalestier.

An insider claimed that Hamilton’s mom raised concerns, urging him to rethink his relationship with Kardashian, noting he is "incredibly close" to her and values her acceptance.

"Her opinion carries a lot of weight with him, so this is definitely something that should worry Kim," the source said.

However, the SKIMS founder reportedly believes she is often misunderstood and that people tend to judge her before getting to know her true personality. She remains confident she can win Larbalestier over.

"Kim's taking it in stride so far and saying this is what always happens with people until they actually get to know the real her. But a lot of people think Kim's going to be in for a rude awakening because Carmen is a tough cookie and fiercely protective of her son," the tipster remarked.

Larbalestier is also said to feel that Hamilton would be better suited to someone more low-key and private rather than someone as globally famous as Kardashian.

Despite appearing deeply invested in the relationship, Hamilton is believed to value his mother’s approval highly, having previously referred to her as the "first love of his life."
