Ryan Gosling has revealed how did Harry Styles hit track Sign of the Times make it to Project Hail Mary.

The 45-year-old recently appeared for a chat at the Capital Official, where he was asked if Harry knew that his song was going to feature in the sci-fi adventure.

Ryan shared that the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker was kind enough to give them his song for the film.

While addressing how did the track end up in the film, the Barbie actor shared, “So, what happened was Sandra Huller the woman the actress in the film who sings the song that wasn’t planned.”

“That was just I heard her singing down the hall and I realized she had such and such an amazing voice.”

According to Gosling, Huller only agreed on singing Sign of the Times, even though the makers asked her if she could pick some other song which is less expensive.

The Gray Man actor revealed, “She came in one day and said, ‘okay I’ll sing but I’ll only sing this one song and it’s Sign of the Times’ and we were like ‘could you pick something less expensive, maybe a little easier to get? And she said no, ‘it had to be that.”

Project Hail Mary features Ryan as science teacher Ryland Grace. The film is directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
