Brad Pitt is pushing to bring his high-profile legal battle with his former wife, Angelina Jolie, to an end, while she is seeking a delay in proceedings over their $164 million French winery, which they purchased in 2011.

According to the Daily Mail, the 62-year-old actor and the 50-year-old actress are not aligned on the trial timeline.

Pitt wants to resolve the long-running legal dispute, whereas Jolie has requested a delay until November 2027, despite the trial currently being scheduled for February 1 of that year, according to court records.

Upon learning of his ex-wife’s request, the F1 star reportedly proposed a compromise of a two-month delay but strongly opposed any postponement extending into late 2027.

In legal documents, Pitt said the delay has affected his “quiet enjoyment of his home in France” and that the Château Miraval business has been held back by the dispute. He urged a quick resolution, saying Jolie has no valid reason to delay the trial.

In response, the Maleficent actress argued that it was the Troy actor who initiated a lawsuit involving complex issues, including out-of-country witnesses.

She also rejected Pitt’s claim, saying there is no evidence that the case has affected his ability to live in his home at all.

The Fight Club actor also claimed he has had problems with a new Russian co-owner, whom he believes tried to take control of Château Miraval.

The former couple tied the knot on August 23, 2014, in a private ceremony at their French estate after becoming engaged in 2012.

They ended their marriage two years later, with Jolie filing for divorce on September 19, 2016.

In February 2022, their legal battle over Château Miraval began, and more than two and a half years later, their divorce was finalised in December 2024.
