Zayn Malik is making sure that he gives the right kind of direction to his daughter Khai if she decides to pursue a career in music.

Malik rose to fame at a very young age after getting into a band called One Direction. Therefore, he is aware of the difficulties and challenges that comes with pursuing music and getting an early fame.

Now that he is doing a great job working as a solo artist after splitting with the band in 2015, Zayn can guide Khai about the music industry.

While promoting his upcoming album "KONNAKOL" in an interview, the PILLOWTALK singer was asked if his daughter decides to do something like his father did carer wise, what advice he would give her with his experiences.

The 33-year-old simply responded, “Don’t do this as a job.”

He elaborated, “That would be the one thing I would wanna say to her. I would say, ‘if you love music, don’t do it as a job because you are going to do it for a very long time and you might lose some of the love for what it is that you’re doing.”

Zayn went on to say, “At the end of the day, I would support her with whatever she would want to do. If she did decide to get involved in the music industry, I would probably say to her that make sure you give 110% of your doing.”

The Dusk Till Dawn singer is coming forward with his fifth studio album KONNAKOL, set to release on April 17.
