Patrick Ball has opened up about paying off his debt in an emotional admission.
The actor stars as Dr. Frank Langdon on the American medical drama television series The Pitt, which has been a global hit since its release in 2025.
During an interview with Cultured magazine, the actor made the emotional revelation that he paid off his debt thanks to the earnings from the show.
Patrick said “I paid off my student loans like three months into The Pitt, and that was a really profound moment ’cause I thought I was gonna die with it.”
He added “It’s a huge burden to carry, and a lot of people carry it.”
The 36-year-old said he was in a student loan debt mounting to a massive $80,000.
Explaining how it had affected his personal life, he said “I was $80,000 in debt and I had been through a series of failed relationships where my financial insecurity was a real problem.”
The actor plays the role of a young doctor working in a Pittsburgh emergency room, who charms his colleagues early on in the show.
