Shahid Kapoor is reportedly set to replace Tovino Thomas as the antagonist in the upcoming epic action saga Dragon.

The 45-year-old actor, who has been earning recognition for his gritty roles in the industry, is once again gearing up for yet another intense character in Prashanth Neel’s much-awaited project.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla that Kapoor is currently in talks with the makers of NTRNeel.

This came shortly after Thomas, 37, reportedly exited the film as he was facing scheduling conflicts with his Malayalam lineups.

It is pertinent to mention that no official statement has yet been made by the Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya star.

The report further claimed that the project was previously expected to hit the theatres on Thursday, June 25, but there might be significant changes as the cast has not been decided yet.

This comes on the heels of Kapoor making headlines for his role in O’Romeo alongside Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Disha Patani.

Moreover, the Deva actor is also gearing up for the standalone sequel Cocktail 2, co-starring Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.

For the unversed, the highly anticipated Dragon will be featuring Anil Kapoor and Rukmini Vasanth, with Jr NTR playing the lead role.
